Founded in 2018, the mission of the King County Law Library Foundation is to provide financial and operational support to the services of the Public Law Library of King County.

Like all county law libraries in Washington State, the Public Law Library of King County receives the bulk of its revenue from paid civil filings in Superior and District court.  Because it is the only public law library in our state to operate two full branches, it also receives funds bi-annually from King County to support the Maleng Regional Justice Center branch in Kent.  Unfortunately, this statutory mechanism is showing its age and falls short of providing PLLKC with the revenues it needs to provide top-level legal information services to the residents of King County.

The King County Law Library Foundation was created to help close this gap.
